Fault Finding at Port Augusta

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES We were engaged to attend site in Port Augusta to investigate an issue with a portal wheel lathe originally built in 1982, which had become non-operational.

Despite the age and complexity of the equipment, our team conducted a full electrical and mechanical fault-finding process. After systematically ruling out electrical faults, we identified the root cause to be a mechanical issue affecting the lathe’s operation.

Our findings were documented and passed on to the client’s mechanical team, helping them avoid unnecessary electrical repairs and reduce further diagnostic delays.

BMU Wiring, Commissioning & Testing

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Innovate Electrical Group was engaged to deliver the electrical wiring, testing, and commissioning support for a newly installed Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) at a commercial facility in Perth, Western Australia.

Our team managed the complete electrical installation, including power supply, control wiring, safety interlocks, and integration with building systems. Throughout the commissioning phase, we worked alongside the OEM and site management to ensure the BMU operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.

We also assisted with functional testing and fault resolution, helping to bring the system online within project timelines. The BMU was fully commissioned and ready for operational use, with continued support provided post-handover.

Relocate 54 Tonne Portal Wheel Lathe

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Our team was engaged to manage the complete electrical disconnection, relocation, and recommissioning of a 54-tonne portal wheel lathe in Queensland.

The project involved safely isolating and disconnecting all electrical components in preparation for mechanical pack-down and transport. Upon reinstallation at the new site, we identified the need to rewire multiple systems due to a change in the control panel position, which caused original cable lengths to fall short.

New cable runs were designed and installed to suit the updated layout, followed by full electrical testing, system integration, and commissioning of the lathe. The machine was returned to full operational capacity with minimal downtime.

Lifting Jacks for Mining Industry

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Innovate Electrical Group was engaged to deliver the full electrical scope for a set of 12 fully automated lifting jacks used in the mining industry. Our team designed and built custom electrical panels to control the jacks in perfect synchronisation, allowing them to operate simultaneously with precision and safety. We completed all field wiring, system integration, and supported both commissioning and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing). This project highlights our expertise in advanced control systems and electrical automation for heavy-duty mining applications.

Electrical Wiring & Commissioning of 90 Tonne BMU

SCOPE & DELIVERABLES Innovate Electrical Group was engaged to support the electrical wiring, commissioning, and testing of a 90-tonne Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) at a major facility in Queensland. This highly specialised equipment required precision installation, coordination with multiple trades, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Our scope of work included: Complete electrical wiring of the BMU system, including control circuits and power supply, Commissioning support alongside OEM technicians to ensure operational readiness, Ongoing technical support post-installation to assist with performance optimisation

The project also included the installation of a 2-tonne automated access door associated with the BMU. Our team provided: Electrical interface and integration with the control system, Support during mechanical installation and alignment, Testing and commissioning of the door’s electrical functions, ensuring safety interlocks and control sequencing were fully operational.

Major Conveyor System Installation & Commissioning Support

Train Wash Electrical
